I've had every intention of making a "professional" Facebook page once certified, I saw no point in hurrying since I'm still early in the program here however.... Something I've learned is that there is A LOT of networking in this field, especially online. I joined several coding groups online and have had several recruiters friend me and reach out to me and now I'm starting the tedious process of trying to split up my friends list on FB for a new professional page. May I strongly suggest to everyone to do this early in the game, it will save you a big headache in the long run. If you're not someone that uses FB a great deal or someone who doesn't have a lot of causes or political views that you share, you may be able to get away with one profile.... I cannot LOL
One idea is to keep your Facebook Page personal and set-up a professional page in Linkedin. LinkedIn is set-up more for professional/business-oriented social networking pages. This way you can keep your professional and personal social networking separate. My sister in in healthcare and does this to separate the two.
I just read this morning that Facebook is going to launch a professional version aimed at businesses. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Yes Linkedin is great and I have one. My experience (and maybe it's not typical) is that recruiters are reaching out a lot more on Facebook than LinkedIn.
That's great! I haven't seen that info yet!
