Awesome Ms Dale!!! Best of luck going forward with your certifications!! Let us know how it's going your "hunt."
Way to go! Congrats!
Thanks everyone! Module IV was challenging for me, but it prepared me well for the exam. I start working per diem as a QA coordinator on Monday for a major healthcare system. The interview went well. When I told the supervisor that I was studying to become a coder, she delightfully said she would pass my resume on to the coding manager!
I also spoke to a recruiter a month ago and I was told that I tested better than someone who had 3 years' experience. Our school really prepares us to pass job assessments as well. She informed me that their clients require CCS credentials and to email her once I passed the CCS exam.
How exciting, Dale! Best of luck with everything!
Again, congrats. And thanks for the update on your job. And thanks for the update that Andrews prepares well. I had heard about Andrews many years ago, about how recruiters would hire newbies if they graduated from Andrews, that Andrews graduates did better than those with several years experience - at that time he was talking about transcriptionists, but still, the issue is the same. Three cheers for you and Three cheers for Andrews.

How exciting! Congratulations!
Congratulations, Dale. What an accomplishment and encouragement to all of us!
Congratulations, Dale, and best of luck!!!
Congratulations, Dale!!!!
Congratulations, Ms. Dale S. I am struggling to complete Module 1 at the moment. I found your success to be a great inspiration to me! Good luck!
Thanks again every one! I just wanted to share that my experience in looking for a coding position after graduating and passing the CCS exam has been a positive one. I was contacted by 2 recruiters 3 days after passing the CCS exam and have received several offers (which includes two opportunities from the hospital that I just started working for). My dilemma now is choosing the right one.
There are jobs for newbies!
Recruiters contacted you. How did they know to contact you? Did you send out requests? Or did they have access to CCS exam data to know who passed and then recruit from there?
This is very good news that you shared. Thank you so much and best wishes in your career. I hope you will continue to stay in touch.

Congrats Dale!! What wonderful news! Good luck in whatever you decide.
Donna - I have had 3 different recruiters contact me as well (I don't even have my CCS yet) - for me, it has been through LinkedIn. If you don't already, set up a profile and start adding people! :-)

Thanks. That's good to know.
Congratulations Dale!!
Nicki,
Thanks for the tip regarding Linked In. Wouldn't it be fantastic to have a company hire you for your dream job, right before graduation :)
