Hi everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that I am a recent graduate as of April and I have taken the CPC exam more than once and I just found out today that I finally PASSED!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited!!!!! Thanks to everyone at The Andrews School for giving me the knowledge that I needed to be able to accomplish this awesome goal in my life! I am forever grateful to Linda, Glenda, and also all of my teachers, especially, Debby, Sue, & Kristi, that helped encourage me along the way. I am so glad I chose this school because I don't feel like I would have gotten such a thorough education in Medical Coding anywhere else. I hope to be able to start my new career in Medical Coding soon. I feel like the possibilities now are endless for me!!
I do have one question though. Does anyone know how I can find out what my actual score was on the CPC? I see where it says "PASSED" but I would like to know what my actual score is and I am not able to find it on the AAPC site. I would appreciate any information you might have to help me locate this score.
Congratulations, Amy!
To see your score, log into AAPC, hover over My AAPC, under My Account click on Purchases/Items, go down to Exam and click on Local Chapter Exam, then View Score :)
Great! I found it! Thank you!
Congratulations, Amy!! I'm so happy for you!
Way to go Amy!! Congratulations!!
Congrats to you. :) I, too, am a graduate, but still have not passed the CPC exam, next retake is in Dec. About your score, if I'm not mistaken, the online that is available to you only gives the percentage scores for the trouble spots. If you want to know what each section scored you need to contact AAPC. They sent me a side-by-side score of the first time I failed it, the second time I failed it - with all the sections, even the sections where I scored high. I don't think the on-line that is available to us shows the high scores, just the low ones - but I could be wrong and just didn't know how to access that.
So now you are job hunting. I ran across a site that hires CPC-A entry level and has a training program. That is where I am going to start in the job search once I pass this in Dec. Notice, I didn't say IF I pass. This company has different levels, I think they actually call them EASY, MEDIUM, DIFFICULT.
Anyway, do you, or anyone reading this, want me to find that site and send you the info?
Again, a happy congrats to you.

Hi Donna!
Thank you so much and I wish you well on your next re-take! Trust me, it felt so good to finally see the words "PASSED". It was a long, exhausting exam but the last time I took it, I was still using the ICD-9 book but this time I used the ICD-10 book (what I actually learned in school) and I seemed to do a lot better. I also started from the back of the test and worked my way towards the front. I had someone recommend this to me and I am not going to say that helped me pass the test but I just went ahead and took their advice and maybe it did help somehow. So, you might try that approach if you haven't already.
Yes, please send me the information about the job site you are talking about and any others that you might know of because I am fixing to start doing some serious job hunting!
Congratulations, Amy! Persistence in a righteous course yields reward!
Hi Donna, I am sure you will do well on the test in December. If nothing else, third times a charm!, Right? Have you been doing the AAPC CPC prep tests and study guide? Heather Martinez from Coding with Confidence also offers a short prep course and webinar for a nominal fee and gives tips on passing the test. You might want to look into that too.
As far as taking the test and job hunting, that's a little bit far off for me. I should be taking the test in December or January, but I would love to have the name of that site and some potential training possibilities.
Hey Donna!
You will rock it on your next retake! :D
I'd love to have the name of the site that hires CPC-As. I hope to be one in a week or so.... Thanks so much!

Stay focused, patient and positive!
Good luck Kell!
Congratulations Amy! That is awesome news!!
I'm just finishing Module I, so I am quite a ways from looking for a job but would love the information for the future.
Will tuck it away for when I am done.
Thanks!
