I just passed module one and I am anxious to get started on module 2. Does anyone know what chapters I could start reading while I'm at work?
I am so sorry this is late! The "new message" thing didn't appear until a few minutes ago!
I would start by looking over the introductory material and what is in chapter 1, then the anesthesia and skin material. Along with that, read the introductory material that's in the very front of the CPT manual. It kind of goes together.
Be aware that that material is not going to be easy to understand until you have actually started using the codes themselves. That's why I said "look over" instead of study. It's going to be hard to put it together at first. Don't be disturbed by that. It will begin to make sense soon enough.
Skip chapter 2, the evaluation and management chapter, because it's so distressing that we don't cover it until the end of Module 2. (It really isn't that bad, but it's best not to do it first!)
How do I know what books will be used for Mod 2?
