Way to go, Tasheena!
Thank you!
Congratulations Tasheena!!!!
Congratulations, Tasheena!! Isn't it an awesome feeling? Way to go!
Thank you all, and it is a great feeling! Especially, after nine days of waiting for the result. lol.
At first, I did not understand how the CPC was an accurate measure of how well you knew how to code because it is multiple choice. However, as I studied for it, it became clear it is about how well you know the guidelines. I should probably say pay attention to the guidelines. I was able to eliminate a lot of the choices on the test using them, and the notes around the code option.
Furthermore, anyone can use an index and read. I do not think any of us have issues with that. However, going through this process it seems a good coder is someone who knows how to use their resources, is somewhat anal, and somewhat of a perfectionist. At least, that is the personality type I am seeing here and in the coding world. lol.
This school was a really good choice. There were times where I was lost, confused, and wondering if this was for me. However, it really does all come together. If anything the pass rate of this exam for this school is a testament to the program. Sitting for the exam I felt relaxed (prayed up the night before), and the questions were not bad compared to what we do everyday here.
Also, if you do not finish the test don't beat yourself up about it. I ran out of time. Even though I purchased the CPC practice test and finished them in time. I also, skipped around to save time, and ended up with about 30 to 40 minutes to go back through. I skipped too many though. I am not even sure how many I left blank as I was the last one there and working until they stopped me. The proctors seem to think I may not have passed as they were telling me about an officer that did the prep course for the exam. Apparently, the first time pass rate is not high for the CPC.
I am not going to lie, the nine day wait was torture because I knew I automatically would have some wrong because I did not even get to them. I think you can get 45 wrong and still pass, and I know I did not leave that many blank just from looking at the answers sheet. I felt good about my answers so, I was hoping that quality would win over quantity. It did.
Congratulations, Tasheena! And a big thanks for sharing your story of success too :)
Congratulations Tasheena :)
Congratulations Tasheena! Proud for your Hard Work and Accomplishment!
Way to go Tasheena!! Thanks for sharing your story-- we all have had those moments where we wonder what on earth we are doing thinking we could be coders. I'm so glad you stuck it out! Congratulations!
