I'm beginning to feel as though coding from home is unrealistic with four young children. Anyone in the same boat or any instructors have any advice? Words of encouragement? I'm feeling defeated right now.
It depends on the age of the children and the disciplines you have in place. I have heard that people sometimes hire someone to supervise the children during work hours, maybe a highschool student who will work for low pay and enjoy playing with the children. Instructions are, "My door will be closed and locked. Don't interrupt me unless you see blood and/or guts." Then of course you monitor everything appropriately on your breaks. That could work with 4 children. If you're making enough money on that coding job, it could work really well.
Thank you. I guess it's more of a "wait and see" approach for my family. I suppose I won't know until I try.
