I just read on the AAPC website a little about the CPC exam. It says we are required to have 2 years coding experience before we are able to sit for the exam. I am curious how students are able to take the exam?
Hey - you could take the exam, but you will have an apprentice status (CPC-A). You need 2 years experience to have the "A" removed. Andrews gives a letter that is supposedly eligible to remove 1 year of experience, and then you will need another 1 year coding experience to have the "A" removed.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. :)
Kristi, you are right! I wrote AAPC last night and had my answer this morning in my email. I did not realize that! Thanks!
