I am about to begin Module 3. I have learned so much already, and it was not easy for me. I understand it is really going to kick into high gear from now on. It has been a tough road so far. I've had quite a few obstacles. Family illnesses, a death in the family, a move to a new town just as I started my course, and a change of jobs for my husband. All the time trying to learn something that is completely foreign to me, a whole new language and discipline, paying attention to all the details, does NOT come naturally for me. I'm praying that the rest of this journey can be totally focused on what I need to do to learn without having to deal with other life issues for awhile.
I'm excited to see so many of you make it to the finish line and to pass and receive those highly coveted credentials! It is very encouraging to see each one of you do well! I can't wait to get there! One day at a time!
Congratulations! The going does indeed get tougher from here, but you can do it.
Good luck in module III. What helped me the most was to take the CCW exercises one at a time. I would tackle one question and then check the answer and then write out anything I learned on that question. That way I was not so devestated at not getting most of them if doing them all and then checking the answers to all.... that would have been overwhelming. I took each one as a minilesson. I kept reminding myself I was a student....should not know everything...what is this trying to teach me. One thing also, is that it is trying to teach you critical thinking SKILLS, not just to memorize the answer. It is trying to teach you DETAILS. Pretty soon you realize you are naturally noticing all the details. So just go with each one and learn what it is trying to teach you, Write that down by the problem and go on. It is very tough. But the critical thinking muscles and detail muscles must be exercised to grow stronger.
Again good luck. Someday module III.will be behind you.
Lana,
Thank you so much for your advice! I will practice the things you just said to do. I appreciate it so much!
That's great advice, Lana! Wish I'd read that when I was digging and slogging my way through the swampy bog of Module 3...oh well, it's behind me now.
Debbie, you're doing great! You've really moved through the modules quickly. Just remember to give yourself extra time to get through each section in this one.
