When studying for exams is it recommended to re-read chapters and go over exercises or what is best route to take?
All exams are entirely open-book, so students don't need to spend their energy trying to memorize material from the chapter. You may want to flip through the chapter an extra time so you can remember how it's laid out to faster find your answers as you take your exam, but it shouldn't usually be necessary to reread the entire chapter first.
I do what Glenda has suggested. I simply look back over the material to help me know where I can find things quickly. I do go through all readings twice though. The first time through I take my time and highlight, I then go back and maybe take notes or just browse through what I highlighted.
For the coding exams, I have been printing them and working on them off-line with my books. I then come back to the computer and enter my answers.
Hope that helps!
I do the same as Nicki with the printing and then going back and entering the answers. Just remember to double check that what you type is the same as what you wrote for your answers !
