I've just met some people that I think will be a great networking (jobs) opportunity for our medical coding students and graduates. The group is JOBS for American Medical Coders. I told them I would let all of you know.
I got a message from Pam, one of the administrators of the group, who said:
"INVITE you and all your students to join our FB page...............JOBS for American Medical Coders. We post all types of jobs for medical coding/billing.....PT/FT....REMOTE....TRAVEL...ON-SITE...all types of specialties....Most of our members are certified or at least working on certification....many new coders...some are 'seasoned' coders....etc.
Also, please feel free to post any jobs/positions you come across. Our membership runs the gamut of students to semi-retired coders with years of experience, and all stages"
This is awesome info to have, Linda!! Thanks for letting us know! I'm definitely going to check them out!
It's one of the most pleasant and professional Facebook groups I've ever encountered. I recommend it highly. These are good people to start networking with when you get toward the end of the course. Of course we don't want it to take the place of study time. :)
That page is awesome! Love, love, love it. So many great questions and comments and the overall positivity/professionalism is so refreshing!
Thank you! This is an incredible resource.
It is my favorite group and I find that I post to this one rather than any of the others. They do not allow any negativity or drama, everything is upbeat, positive, informative, and helpful. This group is the epitome of how a networking group should be. All of the members support one another and cheer each other on. I am so glad that I found it and highly recommend it to every Andrews student!
I shared the comments over there for encouragement to Pam and her co-administrators. I didn't identify any of you, of course, but I hope that you will add to it when you have time. A group like that deserves praise and encouragement so it will stay active and vital. That will be good for all of us I think.
It's obvious that you're always thinking of us--thank you, Linda!
Thanks Linda - I just joined!
