So I didn't do as well as I would have liked to on my last couple of tests in Module II. I thought I understood the information but as well as I thought. It makes me a bit nervous because I really want to do well with the time that I put in. I do my best to look something up when I don't know what it is. I am still learning the disease processes and trying not to beat myself up too much about it. I There's a lot of it. I'm just feeling a bit frustrated with myself. I just want to make sure I am understanding all the concepts and learning as much as I can. If any graduates or anyone could give me some tips about the tests or disease processes or the coding concepts that would be great! :-)
Remember that your instructors are also available to answer questions, both during and after your exams! If you're having trouble deciding between two possible codes, for example, send an email detailing why you're considering both. Your instructor can point out something you may have missed or misunderstood and help with the thought process needed to select the correct answer. After the exam, if you can't figure out why the answer given was better or why yours wasn't also acceptable, that's also a good time to send an email. Again, write out your thought process on both and she can walk you through it.
