Is There Really a Code For That?!!!

As I caught myself just as I was stepping my bare foot on the tile in my dressing room and saw a SCORPION moving from my closet to the safe room...
I grabbed the my dog Baron's water dish and clobbered the Dickens out of that scorpion.
IF I had stepped on him, would there have been a code for that?
What if I had lost my balance, fell, and broke my hip in fear of being stung by that scorpion?
Does anyone else ever think of these things when weirdness happens?
