I'm only in Module I and getting ready to take the Section 4 coding exam. Is there a way to print this out so that I can take my time working on it and then, when I'm done, logging in and putting in the answers that I came up with? My computer is in a little computer nook that has no room to spread books out on, so need to work on the exam at the table, where I have a ton of room.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Even though I'm still very early in the program, I'm loving it and The Andrews School already.
There are a couple of ways that I have done it, but the easiest way is to highlight the whole test and copying it and pasteing it into Word or other program. This also allows you to edit the test and take out unnecessary formatting. You will know what I'm talking about when you paste it. I also always made sure the whole question with answers was on one page as opposed to half of it on the next page. Hope that helps.
Thank you Cheryl MB!! That is a big help. I do know how formatting can get messed up when copying and pasting from a non-Word document/program into a Word document...always frustrating, but fixable.
Since I'm not answering any questions just yet, how do get out of the exam without it being submitted?
I will either log out or just click on a different section in the navigation panel on the left. As long as you don't SUBMIT it, you will be fine.
That's exactly how I do it. I also go to the top and click on the icon that looks like a piece of white chalk (after I hilite the whole test), click on that icon and it erases the colored background. Trying to save on the expense of colored ink.
Which brings up another topic, why do I keep running out of the expensive colored ink when I never print in color? Finally found out; Kodak has slipped in the use of colored ink to be mixed into the black at time of printing. Something about a law suit over that, or was it for not informing the customer of same, but the judge threw it out.
One of the students mentioned studying back in Kuehn in preparation for the CPC. What a good idea. So I started doing that. First thing I tackled was E/M; I've never quite understood it completely. I mean I digested that chapter, pulled it apart, studied each and every chart - lots of information in those charts, and still had to send request for help from instructor on nearly every one of the exercise questions. Does anyone have any hints about conquering E/M?
