Is anyone else frustrated when they make a careless mistake on the Turley Tests? I find myself missing one or two when I knew what the correct answer was ! Also taking them with my two year old sitting beside me might be distracting. I know I need to pay attention and read through the question, just wondered if anyone else feels like that or is experiencing any of the same thing :(
I print the test out - answer the questions- then I go back over them to be sure I answered them correctly. If I need to double check something, I research my answer. After I am comfortable that what I believe are the correct answers, I go back in and enter my answers in the program, I actually double check that I checked the answer that I wanted from the printed one. So far I have 100% on my first two tests. There is no time limit to take these tests, so even with your little one there you have the time to be sure you are answering the way you want to. Not sure if this helps just my suggestion. Good luck! We can all do this :-)
How do you print out the tests? Do you start an "attempt" then copy and paste to word? That's the only way I can see doing it, however, if I'm missing something Id love to know how to print them.
Thanks! :-)
Cynthia, I found that when I tried to paste them into word, the formatting was strange. However, I do believe that a lot of students do that. I actually select the whole test as if I'm going to copy it, but then I right click the mouse while the test is highlighted and select print.
I do the same, but with some selective editing, so that it doesn't print out all wonky AND on fewer sheets of paper :)
Cynthia,
If you go to the command bar at the top of your browser window, there should be a printer icon. You can click that and it will print the whole test just as it looks onscreen.
Jo :)
