CCS EXAM registration
by D'Ana Ro - Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well in their studies. I'm in the process of registering for the CCS and I just wanted to know if the Andrew's School is an Ahima approved coding certificate program. I didn't see it in the drop down menu. Thanks in advance!

Re: CCS EXAM registration
by Linda Andrews - AHIMA recently spoke about that. "The school does not have to be listed on our web site or affiliated with AHIMA in any way in order to take the CCS exam."
As an Andrews School graduate, you are eligible under the 'By Education' requirements. See below from AHIMA's web site:
"Eligibility Requirements
By Education: Completion of a coding training program that includes anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, reimbursement methodology, intermediate/advanced ICD diagnostic/procedural and CPT coding"

Re: CCS EXAM registration
by Instructor Peggy - Not only that, but some "approved" programs listed there do not meet the requirements for the CCS exam. ;)
