I need some help with the wording to use to describe the medical coding course and what we learn. We learn so much but I need assistance with the wording.. Thanks..
The specifics are listed on the CATALOG section of our website at www.andrewsschool.com if that helps. I would put the EDUCATION section on the top right under CREDENTIALS will be. In other words, you'll put what you want them to spend more time on closest to the top so they won't miss it. Resume reviewers often have about 10-15 seconds to decide consider/pass. Your goal is to put something there that tells them your resume is worth their time.
Another way to do it would be to include wording that AHIMA uses.
You might say something like
CCS-eligible by Education: Graduate of The Andrews School program in Medical Coding, a coding training program that includes anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, reimbursement methodology, intermediate/advanced ICD diagnostic/procedural and CPT coding. CCS exam scheduled for {date}.
Linda: Thank you for your reply. What about CPC eligible since I will be taking that test first?
Since anyone can take the CPC exam (I think), you might just say something like:
CPC exam through AAPC scheduled (date).
