I'm always searching for things to help me understand the disease processes to help me have a better understanding of what I am coding. I found online simplenursing.com this young man, Mike Linares is the instructor and he has some wonderful videos and I enjoy his creative teaching style. He is quite entertaining! My favorite one so far is how he describes the Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone System. He is creative and full of information. Check his videos out. You can find him on Youtube as well. They are helpful and light in nature, but the teaching sticks with you! If anyone else has found things that help with the learning process...please share! I just ordered his Pharmacology Boot Camp which is good. I wish it were a bit more indepth, but it is still helping me. Happy Learning!
I'm glad you are enjoying the videos and extra knowledge is always useful. However....be sure that you don't lose focus on your coding studies. Pharmacology, anatomy and pathophysiology are important but your coding studies are more important.
One of the best things you can do is done while coding. When you come across something that you don't understand stop what you are doing and look it up. This could be a word you don't know the meaning of, a body part you don't know or a procedure you are unfamiliar with.
The text books you are using are the top books in the industry and combined with a bit of internet research are all you need to learn to code and pass the certification exams.
