I am in Module III, Section 8 and I am starting to have some anxiety about submitting my coding exam. I am finding it more stressful when I have to come up with the codes myself, and not have a multiple choice answer. Did anyone else go through this, and how did you get through it?
Michelle,
I think your post could have been written by any of us! Suddenly things get really serious in the middle of module 3. I find it confusing when to use HCPCS codes, modifiers, X, Y, and Z codes etc.It feels overwhelming at times. But I keep reminding myself to cut myself some slack. I am a beginner and the best way to learn from my mistakes is analyzing them to figure out where I went wrong. I just got my result from coding exam six in Section 12. I got a score of 56%, yikes a big fat "F"! But I will just push on, I will learn from my errors. Remind yourself that this is advanced stuff we are learning! Chip up, we can do this!
P.S. AAPC is having a great sell right now. If you register for the CPC exam by July 31st, you will get the study guide and 3 practice tests for FREE. I signed up for the Sept. 12th exam in my area. Yikes!
