Hi everybody!
My name is Ariel and I'm currently working on the second module in the coding course and was just wondering if any experienced coders, or not so experienced coders like myself have any idea when we should plan on taking certification exams? Also what specific exams do you recommend taking, that make it easier to become a coder without any experience. Thanks in advance! Everybody keep up the good work!
Ariel
Ariel,
According to Glenda, we're recommended to sit for the CPC exam after the third module, which prepares us for outpatient coding. I believe after we complete the fourth module, we sit for the CCS exam.
Currently AAPC is offering a special when you purchase an AAPC certification exam through July 31st (in our case the CPC) you'll get a free study guide and 3 practice exams, just in case you have an idea (or goal) when you'll be finished with the third module and want to take advantage of the special.
Thanks for your encouragement and you keep up the good work too!
Kim
Thanks for the information! I was wondering as well, but I'm only in the second module.
Thanks so much Kim! I'm glad I know now. Have a great weekend!
Ariel
Thanks for the info. I am in module 1, but I was curious about this too.
